چکیده
This study highlights the simulation of tsunami cases using HEC-RAS 6.1. The primary aim is to evaluate capability software in performing due its standalone computational framework (pre-processing, execution, and post-processing stages), making modeling process interactive. model accuracy was tested against some benchmark wave propagation, including analytical solutions, laboratory experiments, field measurements. results showed capable propagation. maximum elevation velocity magnitude were accurately computed for cases. Furthermore, sufficiently accurate obtained case, where properly computed. For cases, arrival time fluctuations water surface appropriately calculated. Root Mean Square Error values between numerical analytical/observed data relatively low below 30%, with Pearson Product Moment Correlation ranging from 52–99%. In addition eminence, a drawback found regarding graphical user interface (GUI) input boundary conditions. These findings will be beneficial coastal engineering community continuous development HEC-RAS.

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

متن کاملRoughness uncertainty analysis in river flooding using HEC-RAS model
Although flood maps based on the deterministic approach play an important role in minimizing flood losses, there is considerable uncertainty in calculating the level of water inundation. Roughness is a key parameter in water surface elevation. Since roughness is not easily measurable and is estimated based on experimental and laboratory methods, it introduces a significant degree of uncertainty...
